Spelling for first graders

The boys' list for this week's spelling test includes the words little, who, butterfly, nearby, multiply and -- as "challenge" words -- repetition and onomatopoeia.

Is this really first grade?

Are you kidding me!! I couldn't spell one word. PLUS i had to do a google search to find out what it meant!
