Halloween night, we saw our neighbor Suzanne as we were heading out. She wished us good luck on the candy hunt and mentioned that Whoppers are her favorite.
We saw her again in the front yard yesterday evening. All the kids ran inside, emptied their plastic pumpkins of their Whoppers, and gave them all to Suzanne.
So sweet.
We chatted in the front yard for a bit longer, and her husband David came out and joined us. Then I gathered up the kids and went inside.
Whereupon Will begins crying hysterically. I couldn't even calm him down enough to figure out why.
Finally, he calmed down enough to be understandable through the sobs. "I. need. to. give. candy. to. the. boooyyy!!!!" he wailed.
So he picked out a jolly rancher from his pumpkin, we walked next door, knocked, and Will ran inside to give David the piece of candy. And told him he had to wait until after dinner to eat it because it's sticky.
Sweetest.
